How is your December so far? Are you excited about 'CHRISTMAAAAAS'??
I'm totally in the Christmas spirit, but if you're not excited about the holiday season, do what I'm about to tell you, because ain't nothing better than getting cozy in your bed under a warm blanket with a hot chocolate, while outside is snowing and your christmas tree lights the room.
Sooo, because is my duty to bring the cheer upon you, here are the best Christmas movies to put you in the right mood for the most beautiful holiday of the year:
1. Home Alone 1 & 2
There's nothing better than to watch the funny adventures of little Kevin on a freezing night. They're 2 wonderful movies that will remember you about your childhood (maybe not the part when Kevin's parents forgot him at home or the part when he was almost robbed).
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
This movie, with a very young and cute Taylor Momsen and Jim Carrey, will definitely melt your heart. If you have any "Grinch" in the family watch this movie with them and they'll definitely be under the spell of Christmas.
3. Miracle on 34th Street
The 1994 version of the movie presents us a six-year-old Susan who has doubts about the biggest mystery from our childhood - Santa Claus. But when Susan meets a very special Santa Claus in a department store, she is given the most precious gift - something to believe in.
4. A Christmas Carol
We have again Jim Carrey in a Christmas movie; this time in an adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic novel about a miserable and bitter old man, Scrooge, who is visited on Christmas Eve by the Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present and Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, only to wake up in time to change his horrible personality and enjoy Christmas.
5. Elf
The 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell presents us the story of one special elf, Buddy, who learns about his true identity as a human, and goes to New York City to meet his biological father. Enjoy this movie and take Buddy's example: to spread Christmas cheer all around the world.
6. Love Actually
Love Actually is a 2003 British Christmas-themed romantic comedy. The film presents different aspects of love shown through ten separate stories. So make yourself a tea or a hot chocolate and enjoy this film with Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Rowan Atkinson and other big names.
7. The Polar Express
The 2004 movie is based on the children's book with the same title by Chris Van Allsburg. So get on board The Polar Express and enjoy the adventure of a young boy who questions his belief in Santa Claus, but ends up believing in the spirit of Christmas and being selected by Santa to receive "The First Gift of Christmas".
8. The Holiday
This romantic comedy will take you on the both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, as it presents two women that temporarily exchange homes to escape heartbreak during the holiday season. Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black will make you laugh and cry in a cold night of winter.
So, if you haven't seen these movies, take a break from decorating your house, make yourself a pudding and relax while watching one of this movies. Enjoy!
